Uganda’s ‘BUBU shines at the Intra-African Trade Fair 2025 Algeria.

Uganda joins other African Nations for the one week exhibition at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) in Algeria that opened on 4th and is expected to close by 10th September 2025 in Algiers Algeria
Uganda’s presence at the fair is seen in the The Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) alongside the Ugandan Embassy in Algeria.
Under UFZEPA,Uganda’s Stall is showcasing a variety of Ugandan Products under the ‘Buy Uganda Build Uganda(BUBU) Policy.Apolicy aimed at Building Uganda through Buying Ugandan Made Products.
The Ugandan Delegation was led by Hon. Matia Kasaija-Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, along side State Minister for Trade,Industry and Cooperatives-Gume Frederick Ngobi,and the hosted by Uganda’s Ambassador to Algeria,Alintuma Usambu.
Their presence underscores Uganda’s strong political will to boost Exports, attract Investment, and Strengthen Trade Relations on the Continent.
“Uganda’s presence at this Fair is more than exhibiting our products but showcasing Uganda as a Land of Opportunities.”
“We are here to promote our Exports, attract investment, and build new trade partnerships that will benefit both Uganda and the continent.”
“With our rich natural resources, skilled people, and strategic location, Uganda is open for business and ready to play a leading role in driving Africa’s economic integration.” Hon. Kasaija said.
On his part, Hon. Ngobi Gume said: “Uganda’s Cooperatives play a vital role in driving inclusive growth and empowering producers. At IATF 2025, we are opening new doors for our Farmers, Traders, and Small Businesses to Access Wider Markets and benefit from Continental Trade.”
Uganda’s Ambassador to Algeria-Alintuma Nsambu highlighted Uganda’s diplomatic and trade ambitions:
“This fair is an important platform to strengthen Uganda’s trade and investment ties not only with Algeria but the entire continent.
We are committed to deepening partnerships that create opportunities for Ugandan exporters and attract investors to our country.”
Uganda’s stall features Agro-Processed Goods, Crafts, and Manufactured Products, reflecting the country’s emphasis on value addition and competitiveness in export markets.
Beyond product displays, UFZEPA is promoting Uganda’s Free Zones as strategic hubs for industrialization and export-led growth.
UFZEPA and the Embassy of Uganda in Algeria are engaging potential investors, buyers, and trade partners, positioning Uganda as a competitive player under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).
Uganda’s participation at IATF 2025 demonstrates its commitment to unlocking new Markets, linking exporters to buyers, and expanding its trade footprint across Africa and globally.
