Uganda Charts Digital Future as NCC 2025 Closes in Nakawa
Kampala — The 9th National Conference on Communications (NCC 2025) wrapped up this evening at the Innovation Hub in Nakawa with a call for smarter regulation, stronger infrastructure, and inclusive innovation to drive Uganda’s digital future.
In its final communiqué, organizers highlighted priorities including:
fast-tracking a data protection framework,
creating startup-friendly compliance rules,
expanding rural broadband, and
investing in inclusive digital programs.
The closing ceremony also honored top Secondary school innovators:
🏆 Best School Innovator: Trinity College Nabbingo with AgriApp+Soil Testing Project
🏆 Second School Innovator: Lira Town College with LabLango AI Translator Project
🏆 Third School Innovator: Jinja College with Qvault Quality Education Project
Officials commumicated that NCC 2026 innovation hub will be announced in the future with date and venue
