The (FDC) Party has called for National Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday 13th.August 2025 at the Party’s Headquarters in Najjankumbi Wakiso District along Entebbe Road starting 9am.The meeting has been called by the Party’s National Chairman,Hon.Jack Sabitti.According the communique issued and shared by The Urban Gazette, the FDC National Council Members invited include:All District chairpersons of the Party,All National Executive committee (NEC) members,All FDC members of Parliament,03 Members representing the Elders Council,03 members representing the Youth League,03 members representing the Women League,01 Parliamentary Flag Bearer from each sub-region who was unsuccessful in the last general elections,All Elected Local Government District chairpersons and Mayors under the Party. Sabiiti reminded Members to mark their Calendars and prepare accordingly to attend without fail. It’s worth noting that all Political Parties across the political Formations are pre-occupied with ground work of organizing their internal Party structures ahead of 2026 general elections. As the National Resistance Movement (NRM)’s Tribunal continue to dispense Justice in Petitions filed by unsatisfied Candidates in the Chaotic NRM primaries,National Unity Platform(NUP)is busy vetting its Flag Bearers while Uganda People’s Congress(UPC) is grappling with Court following Akena’s dismissal as Party’s Presidential Flag Bearer for the upcoming general elections. The country eagerly awaits development from other political Formations like Democratic party and Democratic Front including those willing to stand as Independents.
