Uganda’s prime minister Robina Nabbanja will be in Kira Municipality along side Hon.Rosemary Sseninde-Director NRM Mobilisation, National Vice Chairman Central Buganda- Kiwanda Geoffrey are among NRM’s Party bigwigs scheduled to rally support for the Party’s Flag Bearers in Wakiso District including Kira Municipality. Rt.Hon Nabanja is on a mobilization drive to canvass support for NRM Party in Kira Municipality and Kyaddondo East Constituencies.
Party insiders in Kira have tipped The Urban Gazette that there’s already presence of unusual security at the Municipality headquarters in anticipation of any likely Choas just as it was at Lufuka playground in Makindye Ssaabagabo Entebbe Municipality over last weekend.
Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja embarked on a massive mobilisation drive for NRM Party in Wakiso district the same way she plans to do in the rest of the districts where NRM performed poorly in the previous general elections.
Last weekend Nabbanja met leaders and jointly prepared for this exercise in all counties of Wakiso district.
In today’s Mobilisation Drive Schedule ,Nabbanja is also expected to be joined by the Wakiso district RDC, and Flag Bearers of Kira Municipality and Kyaddondo
Nabbanja is rallying party members and the general public to vote for President Museveni and the NRM party flag bearers as she showcases what the Government deliverables since NRM came into power in 1986 with specific emphasis on the last five years.
It’s worth noting that Kira Municipality is currently represented in Parliament by PFF’s Ssemujju Nganda,a strong critic of Hon. Nabbanja. In his usual jabs at Nabbanja include among others that, the prime minister lacks requisite qualification to perform the duties of a leader of Government business in Parliament. Kira Municipality is a stronghold for opposition and currently dominated by opposition parties such as NUP,FDC and the newly formed People’s Freedom Party (PFF). The Prime minister Nabbanja says President Museveni and the NRM government still needs more time to deliver more planned services to Ugandans.
She is eyeing winning hearts of Wakiso district voters whose population is approximately 3.3 million people.
