Government Hands Over 4,000 Land Titles to Anglican Church
President Yoweri Museveni has handed over 4,000 land titles to the Anglican Church of Uganda, saying the move is aimed at protecting church land from encroachment and fraudulent sales.
The handover ceremony in Kampala was attended by Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba, who thanked the government.
“This gesture ensures that the Church continues to serve communities without the constant threat of losing land,” the Archbishop said.
The land covers schools, hospitals, and parishes across the country.
