Fire Destroys Five Vehicles in Ntinda Workshop Blaze

A fire outbreak in a workshop at Ntinda, Nakawa Division, has left five vehicles completely destroyed, two others partially damaged, and several machines reduced to rubble.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at around 1:20 pm, according to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire.

“Today, 8th September 2025 at around 1:20 pm, a fire broke out in a workshop at Ntinda, Nakawa Division. Five vehicles were burnt beyond repair, two others were partially damaged, and several machines destroyed,” Owoyesigyire confirmed in a statement.

He said Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Services, working alongside engineers from the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL), quickly responded and managed to contain the situation before it spread further.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known, but police say investigations are underway.
