Five Injured in Perfect Bus Crash Along Ntungamo–Rukungiri Road

Five passengers sustained minor injuries in a single-bus crash on Sunday morning at Rwashameire along the Ntungamo–Rukungiri Road.

The accident involved a Perfect Bus that, according to preliminary investigations, was in poor mechanical condition.

SP Michael Kananura confirmed the incident, saying the injured passengers were rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment.

“Preliminary findings point to a poor mechanical condition of the bus as the likely cause of the crash,” Kananura said.

“We continue to caution bus operators to ensure their vehicles are in good working order before setting off, to prevent such avoidable accidents.”
