Kenya Launches National AI Strategy to Drive Innovation and Jobs

NAIROBI — Kenya’s government has unveiled a national AI strategy aimed at leveraging artificial intelligence for economic growth, education, and job creation. The initiative focuses on AI-driven agriculture, healthcare, fintech, and smart cities solutions.

The Ministry of ICT and Innovation highlighted that AI adoption could create tens of thousands of new jobs, improve service delivery, and strengthen Kenya’s position as a regional technology hub. Partnerships with universities, private firms, and international agencies will support implementation.
