Kyambogo University Hosts Uganda Design Summit 2025: “Bridging Worlds, Shaping Sustainable Futures
Kyambogo University has officially opened the Uganda Design Summit 2025, a four-day exhibition dedicated to innovation, creativity, and sustainability in design. The event, themed “Bridging Worlds, Shaping Sustainable Futures,” brings together designers, innovators, academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore the role of design in driving Uganda’s sustainable development.
The Guest of Honour, Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, Minister of Education and Sports, commended Kyambogo University for spearheading initiatives that bridge the gap between education, innovation, and industry. In her address, she emphasized the importance of design and applied sciences in shaping a resilient, environmentally responsible economy.

The exhibition was officially organized under the leadership of Prof. Eli Katunguka, Vice Chancellor of Kyambogo University, who highlighted the university’s growing influence as a hub for innovation and applied research.

Among the panelists is Mr. Aget Abraham from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), who will discuss the role of intellectual property and innovation protection in the creative economy.
