Kyambogo University Hosts Uganda Design Summit 2025 Under the Theme “Bridging Worlds, Shaping Sustainable Futures”
Kampala, Uganda — Kyambogo University has officially launched the Uganda Design Summit 2025, a four-day exhibition and conference aimed at showcasing innovation, creativity, and sustainable design solutions under the theme “Bridging Worlds, Shaping Sustainable Futures.”
The event was officially opened by the Guest of Honour, Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, Minister of Education and Sports, who commended Kyambogo University for its dedication to promoting design as a driver of social and economic transformation.

The summit is organized under the leadership of Prof. Eli Katunguka, Vice Chancellor of Kyambogo University, who reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to nurturing design excellence and practical innovation.

Event Highlights
The four-day summit features exhibitions, workshops, and panel discussions focusing on sustainable materials, product design, digital innovation, and industrial development.
Panelists include,Professor Phillip Kwesiga,Professor Sahar Khalil, Dr Mutungi,Dr Patrick, Mr. Aget Abraham from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) and other distinguished speakers from academia and industry.

Circular design and sustainable product innovation
