Google’s Africa AI Accelerator 2025: A Gateway for Uganda’s Next Tech Giants
Tech founders in Uganda are being invited to apply for the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025 (AI Cohort) — a highly competitive program offering funding, mentorship, and global visibility.
This cohort is focused on startups using Artificial Intelligence to solve problems in health, agriculture, education, finance, and climate. Eligible startups must already have a working product and be ready to scale.
What’s on offer:
Equity-free support
Up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits
Mentorship from Google engineers and global tech leaders
Business strategy coaching and access to investors
“We’re seeking founders solving real African problems using AI in responsible, innovative ways,” said Program Lead Mercy Omamo.
Uganda has shown promise in the startup space, with notable players in AgriTech, FinTech, and HealthTech. Still, access to capital and mentorship remains a barrier — one this program aims to break.
Eligibility:
African startups (Uganda included)
Using AI in meaningful, scalable ways
Already launched with early traction
Deadline: October 30, 2025
With global attention on African innovation, this accelerator could help Uganda’s startups join the continent’s next wave of tech leaders. Will you be next?
