Egyptian Police Officials Engage Uganda Police on Forensics and ICT Modernization
A high-level delegation of Egyptian police officials has completed a working visit to Uganda, focusing on knowledge exchange in forensic science and policing technology.
The six-member team, headed by Brigadier General Ahmed Youssry Mohamed Hashem, spent the day touring key Uganda Police directorates.
At the Directorate of Forensic Services, they examined the country’s laboratory infrastructure, operational roles, and training programs, with discussions centered on strengthening future collaboration in scientific policing.
Their visit also extended to the Directorate of ICT, where they were introduced to the functions of the National Command Center.
The briefing emphasized its role in enhancing communication and coordination within law enforcement operations nationwide.
The engagement underscored Uganda Police Force’s commitment to building international partnerships and investing in modern policing tools to meet emerging security challenges.
