Nameere Breaks Silence, Denies Assaulting Full Figure, Calls Out Police Bias
Presidential advisor and Masaka Woman MP NRM flagbearer, Justine Nameere, has spoken out for the first time since her name was linked to the violent assault on fellow advisor Jennifer Nakangubi, better known as Full Figure.
Nameere, who together with her husband is wanted by police over allegations of robbery and physical attack, accused law enforcement of giving her rival preferential treatment.
She said while authorities rush to act on Full Figure’s complaints, they routinely ignore others who have reported being victimized by her.
“She first told police I had hired goons to stab her in the dark. Then she switched the story to say my husband beat her. Now she is dragging me into her drama because I am her latest victim,” Nameere wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The former television presenter further alleged that Full Figure has assaulted and humiliated several people before, sometimes in the presence of police officers.
She urged investigators to take all complaints seriously and avoid selective justice.
Police, however, maintain that they are handling the case according to procedure.
Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke confirmed that the Kampala Metropolitan Police registered a report after videos circulated over the weekend showing a woman — believed to be Full Figure — being beaten by men along Kyadondo Road.
“The victim reported both assault and theft of Shs500,000 and a mobile phone. Our routines are clear — suspects are questioned and, if evidence is sufficient, they will face court,” Rusoke told journalists at police headquarters in Naguru on Monday.
The clash between Nameere and Full Figure is the latest chapter in an ongoing rivalry that dates back to the NRM Central Region CEC elections.
Nameere supported businessman Moses Karangwa, while Full Figure backed Minister Haruna Kasolo, who eventually triumphed.
That political feud has since spilled beyond social media, culminating in Friday’s violent scenes.
Viral clips showed men in NRM campaign attire punching and kicking Full Figure as a woman’s voice accused her of abusing a husband.
She was later rushed to Nakasero Hospital, where she is still admitted with facial injuries.
