Gen Kainerugaba Hails Military Cooperation between Uganda and India

The Chief of Defence Forces of Uganda Peoplesβ Defence Forces (UPDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba,met the new Indian Military Advisory Training Team(IMATT)led by Brigadier N.V Nanjudeshwara Monday at Special Forces Command (SFC)Headquarters Entebbe.
The Indian Delegation is reportedly in Uganda to offer Military Advisory Training services to Uganda Peoples Defences Forces(UPDF). During their meeting attended by senior UPDF leadership, including Chief of Joint Staff, Lieutenant General Jack Bakasumba, and Brigadier General Wycliffe Keita, from the Joint Staff Training and Doctrine Command,Kainerugaba hailed the excellent military cooperation between Uganda and India, noting both countries have significantly benefited from shared knowledge, Training, and Mutual learning. He thanked the incoming Team and pledged UPDF’s full cooperation, assuring productive partnership enjoyed with previous Teams.
The CDF noted that the two-year rotation cycle of the (IMATT) is a testament to the enduring and Strategic Defence Partnerships between the two countries.
