Lubaga Cathedral’s “Lamaga Yooyoota Campaign” HIts 1.4 Billion Collection.

The Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere, has urged Christians to remain firm in their Faith and continue supporting the Church despite the ongoing Contributions already being made in their Parishes.

While speaking at the Fundraising event for the Renovation of Rubaga Cathedral under the “Lamaga Yooyoota Lubaga @100 years” ahead of the Church’s 100 years existance since Inception-the Archbishop reminded believers that the Church still needs their generosity to sustain its Activities.

The Fundraising under the Theme “The Temple of God is Sacred, you are the Temple.”

The event led by Mitala Maria Vicariate, raised Over 36 million shillings, as presented by the Vicar of the Vicariate, Rev. Fr. Francis Xavier Kikomeko. “This contribution has been made by different Parishes and Organizations within the Vicariate”. he said.

MP for Mawokota North Hon.Hillary Innocent Kiyaga-aka Dr. Hilderman contributed 1 million towards the Cause.

According to the Fundraising Committee led by Freeman Kiyimba, “over 1.4 billion shillings has so far been collected from various Vicariate and Individuals including 30 million contribution from the President.

The Committee revealed that “the renovations will include Installation of Digital Billboards, Expansion of the Compound, and Construction of two-way Parking, among other Improvements”.

The Arch Bishop called upon Christians to maintain a spirit of Giving, reminding them that Earthly Wealth eventually remains behind and shared among others after Death.
