The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)Party unveils Nandala Mafabi Presidential Aspirant for 2026 General Elections.

The unveiling was made during the FDC Party National Council Meeting held today at the Party’s Headquarters at Najjanakumbi along Entebbe Road Wakiso District. It’s should be remembered that Hon.Mafabi emerged FDC Party Flag Bearer after Party President Amuriat stepped aside in his favor . The National extra ordinary Council meeting was called to approve Mafabi’s Presidential Candidature and for the party to launch the FDC Manifesto with the theme “Alternative and Credible leadership for a better Uganda”as FDC strives to deliver credible leadership to Ugandans. Party Manifesto outlines Aspirations and Programmes that the FDC Party will use as a campaign promise to Ugandans. Hon.Jack Sabiiti,the National Party Chairman urged Members and Supporters to identify Candidates in all vacant elective positions across the country and paint your districts blue. Sabiiti doubled down that FDC Party is ready to work with other forces of change and is not in competition with opposition political Parties. The Manifesto primarily focuses fixing the country’s Infrastructure and the Economy by making sure that all Ugandans have money in their Pockets. The National Council Meeting praised Mafabi’s Candidature as a true reflection of credible leadership and candidate who meets the requisite qualification for the President of Uganda. Mafabi is the current Secretary General of the FDC Party,MP Budadiri West,Chairperson Bugisu Cooperative Union, a teacher,a lawyer,an economist and a successful businessman with a clean track record of performance. FDC top brass Present at the meeting included-Party President Amuriat Oboi, Party National Chairman,Jack Sabiiti,Mafabi Nandala, the Party’s Secretary General who also doubles as the Party’s Flag Bearer,FDC Members of Parliament and other Party officials including for first time in a series of FDC recent high profile events,the Deputy President for Buganda and Party’s Chief whip in Parliament,Hon Yusuf Nsibambi. The FDC National Council Meeting attracted Members from across all districts of Uganda to deliberate on Party positions and subsequently approved all District Party Flag Bearers. Hon Mafabi was finally handed instruments of power as a Presidential Aspirant and it’s also record that this morning,he picked his Nomination Forms this from the National Electoral through his Personal Assistant. Now FDCs Mafabi joins a huge list of Presidential Aspirants who picked nomination forms vying to become President of Uganda. His predecessor and Party President Amuriat Patrick Oboi vowed to support Mafabi at any cost and urged party Members and Supporters and the public to rally behind their Candidate Mafabi Nandala James for President of Uganda in the upcoming general elections. Meanwhile,in a show of solidarity and Unity, Democratic party secretary General Gerald Seranda, representatives from JEMA,Uganda People’s Congress(UPC) as well as officials from the Inter-party Dialogue on Democracy( IPOD) attended the event.
