The Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese His Worship Paul Ssemogerere is today Ordaining 24 Deacons to Priesthood after intense training and formation from different Seminaries and other Catholic faith institutions.

The 24 Deacons are believed to have been elevated to Deaconate last year in August at Sacred Heart Cathedral Lubaga in Kampala.
The 24 successful candidates to Priesthood were of recent passed out by their three respective seminaries including;St.Mary’s Ggaba major seminary,St.Mbaaga Ggaba major seminary and St.Paul Kinyamasika major seminary.

Bwayise and Mitalamaria parishes in Kampala Archdiocese have taken the lead with two Deacons to Priesthood respectively out of the now 75 known and operational parishes.

Among the recently announced and launched parishes, only Kasenge Parish which was curved out of Kyengera parish has emerged with a successful candidate to Priesthood,he’s none other than Deacon Benard Mukiibi born of Kikajjo cell in Kyengera town council.

The rest of the parishes have one successful candidate while others have gone without.
Apart from the 24 Deacons to Priesthood,six successful Seminarians in the same Kampala Archdiocese are today being ordained to Deaconate by His Worship Paul Ssemogerere still at Lubaga cathedral.

Information from within the Diocese has indicated that,three of these Senior Seminarians are from St Paul Kinyamasika major seminary,one from St.Mbaaga’s major seminary and two from St.Mary’s major seminary.
